STARS 'N' STEEDS GO TO INAUGURAL PARADE
Because so many people rose to the challange and gave from their hearts, on January 20, 2005 the Willard, Missouri based Stars’N’Steeds equestrian drill team had the honor of riding in the presidential inaugural parade in
After winning national championship titles at the equestrian drill team championships in Canton, Texas and a lengthy application process the team was selected to be the only representtve group from Missouri. The highlight of the trip was riding past the president who gave them a wink and a hearty thumbs up.
Though the weather was very cold the team had a great time. Visiting the Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian museums and the different war memorials. The entire trip went well from getting transport for the horses and a bus for the participants to a safe ride down the streets in DC.
